Judge Megan Goldish serves on the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she presides in the Domestic Violence Division, managing a broad docket of criminal and civil matters, including hearings for orders of protection and preliminary felony proceedings. Elected to the bench in 2014, she brings nearly two decades of prior experience as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Cook County, where she also held a supervisory role focused on specialized domestic violence initiatives. Her legal work is characterized by careful case evaluation, strong courtroom management, and a commitment to fair and informed decision making.
Judge Goldish earned her juris doctor with honors from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and completed additional legal studies at the University of Cambridge. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. In addition to her judicial responsibilities, she contributes to legal education as an adjunct instructor in trial advocacy and engages with law students through teaching, mentorship, and admissions-related activities.
Beyond the courtroom, Judge Goldish is actively involved in professional and civic organizations. She holds leadership roles in several bar associations and serves on multiple nonprofit boards focused on healthcare, education, and cultural initiatives.
